Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Settledin Pty Ltd, a company registered in Australia ("Besbook", "we") for using the app and besbook.com. By using Besbook you agree to them.
The beta
Besbook is in a private beta. Features may change, and things may occasionally go wrong. We work hard to never lose a photo, but please keep your originals: Besbook is a place to share and keep family photos, not your only backup.
Your account
You must be at least 13 (16 in Australia, the European Union and the United Kingdom) and give us a real email address. An account that turns out to belong to someone under the minimum age for their country is paused until they reach it. Keep your phone and email secure: they are how you sign in. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
Your content
You own the photos, videos and words you share. You give Besbook a licence to store, copy, resize and show them to the people you share them with, only to run the service. The licence ends when the content is deleted, except for copies in backups that age out.
Only share what you have the right to share. Think about the people in your photos, especially children.
Families
A family's keepers decide who joins and can hide content in their family. When you post to a family, its members can see and keep what you shared, for example by saving it to their phone.
What's not allowed
- Anything illegal, including any sexual content involving a minor. We report it to the authorities.
- Harassment, threats, or sharing someone's private images without their consent.
- Trying to get into families or accounts that aren't yours, or to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
- Using Besbook to send spam or for commercial purposes.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. If we do, we'll tell you why, and you can ask us to look again.
Storage and payments
Every family starts with free storage. If you buy more, the price and renewal are shown before you pay, and Apple or Google handles billing and refunds under their terms. You can cancel any time in your store account; your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for.
Ending
You can delete your account at any time. We may end the beta or close accounts that break these terms; if we end the service, we'll give you notice and time to download your photos.
Responsibility
We provide Besbook with care, but as it is during the beta. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.
